Freelance Job of the Day

Freelance travel editor: IgoUgo,com, the world's leading online travel community, seeks an experienced freelance editor to compile, edit, and fact-check our electronic IgoUgo Travel Reports. These 20-30 page, destination-specific travel guides represent the best reviews submitted by our community of everyday travelers. This is NOT an entry-level position. Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years copy-editing and fact-checking experience (preferably online) and familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, Web-savvy editor with his/her own PC (not MAC) who can recognize our best travel reviews and photos and work independently to edit them into a useful travel resource. We will consider only people who live within the NYC metro area, and we require someone who can start immediately. Pay is approximately $20/hour. For the right freelancer, this has the potential to become a permanent full-time position.
